It is with great pleasure to announce that Warren Kirshenbaum, Founder and President of Cherrytree Group, is one of the nominees for the 31st annual Ernst and Young’s Entrepreneur of the Year Award, as part of the New England Region’s nominating process.
The Ernst and Young’s Entrepreneur of the Year award was founded in 1986 to recognize exceptional men and women that have created the products and services that keep the world-wide economy moving forward. Since inception, the program has grown and includes more than 140 cities and more than 60 countries worldwide. The award is now considered to be the world’s most prestigious business award.
Warren founded Cherrytree in 2006 and has spent years building Cherrytree into a specialist tax credit consultation, brokerage, and syndication firm. He has utilized his expertise to build a firm that focuses on the structural and development finance aspects of tax incentivized real estate based transactions, particularly in the fields of environmental remediation, renewable energy, and historic rehabilitation.
Over the past 11 years, the Cherrytree Group has needed to remain stable in an unstable industry that is heavily dependent on legislation at the state and federal levels. Cherrytree has endured and overcome an economic recession, political gridlock, and legislative uncertainty (tax reform, expiring statutes, budget deficits) . Despite these obstacles, Warren has been able to advise and close on millions of dollars in state and federal tax credits. This nomination is an important recognition of Warren’s hard work, sacrifice, and dedication to his industry.
